Below is a list of what we do at Ivan Hamill Cars and what you can expect from us:
- Browse our stock at your own pace without being hassled by salespeople.
- Transparent pricing — all cars are priced to sell with clear pricing procedures.
- Select a car for an accompanied test drive (an original, full current driving license is required for viewing and photocopying before the test drive).
- We will appraise your current car, ensuring the best possible part exchange price.
- On your return, we will discuss the deal in comfort at your own pace, covering the various payment plans available to you.
- If we agree on a deal, we will organize the collection date and explain the paperwork required.
- On collection day, your newly valeted and serviced car will be ready for you. We make this handover a simple yet memorable experience, going over the paperwork and controls of your new car.

Customers are at different stages of the buying cycle, and we respect this. Our Standards
Not purchased from us before? Don’t worry. Here’s a list of our standards so you know what to expect:
Tyres
We ensure our cars have tyre tread not worn beyond 3mm, which is well within the legal limit of 1.6mm. If the tread is below 3mm, the tyres are replaced to ensure many miles of driving before replacements are needed.
Paintwork
We strive to ensure that the paintwork is in line with the car's age and mileage. While minor stone chips, scuffs, and light scratches are common, we do our best to machine polish them before display or collection. We use a dent removal expert for parking dings and dents, and for more serious issues, we use an experienced local body shop to make high-quality repairs.
Some cars may have had previous paintwork done, though we carry out stringent HPI history checks to ensure the car has not been involved in a significant accident or written off by an insurance company.
Interior Condition
While smoking is less common today, we carry out a full interior valet and odor treatment on all cars to remove any unpleasant smells.
Wheels
Many modern cars come with alloy wheels, which enhance appearance and resale value. Minor blemishes on alloy wheels are common and acceptable, but we may carry out repairs if needed to maintain the vehicle's quality.
Service History & Mechanical Condition
Before purchasing a car for our stock, we conduct thorough checks, including service history reviews. We only retail cars in the best condition with complete service records. Before collection, we service and inspect each car thoroughly, often including an MOT check.
Road Tax & Cherished Registration Transfers
Since DVLA changes in October 2014, we aim to make the road taxing process and cherished registration transfers as hassle-free as possible.
Warranty
